Danny Gallagher's career in writing, public speaking and laughter producing started in 1998 when Danny lived in New Orleans, Louisiana and his parents finally decided to get on this whole "Internet" bandwagon. While surfing the web one fateful night, he came across Cathie Walker's "Centre for the Easily Amused" (AKA Amused.com), and took a chance by emailing her to offer his services as a part-time comedy writer.

Blown away by his wit and creativity, she let him write some "Mad-Libs" style stories for an interactive feature called "The Amuse-o-Matic 2000." The stories became an immediate success for Amused.com, earning scores of internet traffic for Cathie's site and Danny's first salary as a comedy writer at fifty dollars a week.

Soon his connections at Amused.com led to other jobs writing for online game shows such as "Match Game" and "To Tell the Truth" for Uproar.com and Flipside.com, reviewing web sites and writing humor columns for CRAPCO.com's "Comedy Connection,"contributing one-liners to daily top ten lists and moderating weekly lists for Topfive.com, reporting satirical news stories and the "Site of the Day" column for Playboy's "Rouze.com."

These days, Danny is expanding his body of work (as well as his actual body thanks to his love of Shiner Boch beer and fried New Orleans seafood) as a city reporter and weekly humor columnist for the Paris News in Paris, Texas. He's a regular contributor to the Daily Probe, an online satirical newspaper where he writes front page stories and transcribes the point/counterpoint column, "McQuigly & Moss." He also contributes entertainment features and a weekly news and humor column called "The News Rants" for Caffimage.com.

Danny has also created "Movies that Suck," a movie humor column that showcases the worst films that dared to come out of mainstream Hollywood and call itself "entertainment". To subscribe, send a blank email to mts-subscribe@topica.com. If you're an editor interested in running the column for your publication, contact Danny at ffdpg@aol.com. He also has several other columns and writing projects currently under consideration.

Meanwhile in the real world, when Danny's not banging his hands on his keyboard or his fists on his head for ideas, he spends his free time watching and collecting movies, reading constantly, taking long afternoon walks, procrastinating about his freelance work and looking for punk cover songs to include in his collection of "Music to Annoy People With."
