Here's what people are saying about the work of writer, reporter, humorist and all-around nice guy Danny Gallagher...

"...a funny-as-hell guy..."
- Greg Preece, The Naked Critic

"I've been watching Danny Gallagher grow as a writer for years. How could I not? The little bastard is everywhere, swiping my gigs. Guess I need to show more chest. Amenities aside, I read mountains of humor because it's my job. I read Danny because I want to, if there's time after I wind my yarn ball and floss the Garden-Weasel¨."
- Mike Durrett, Humor Guide for About.com

"...I thought the whole world or at least this newspaper's readers
should be aware of the wondrous work Danny & the Mouth do."

- Celine Chamberlin, Columnist for the Statesman Journal
on the column, "Dear God, Noooo! with Danny & the Mouth"

"...such a good writer and a nice young man.
Now if only he would comb his hair
and get a real job like his brother, Paul."

- Danny's mom on his case, as usual

Humor

SaveMarthaStewart.com
When Martha Stewart was indicted on insider trading charges by the SEC, a group of writers from TopFive.com, including yours truly, formed the Guerilla
Website Project and banned together to help free America's helpless homemaker with this site.

Movies That Suck
A weekly column about the movies that not only mocks some of the worst films that mainstream Hollywood dares to call "entertainment," but also explores the personal and universal nuances of watching movies that makes them suck.

[Insert a Funny Column Here]
A weekly, and totally freeform comedy column that takes on a different format, style and subject every week that it's published.

"The Daily Probe"
These are some short satirical news pieces that appeared in "The Daily Probe", TopFive.com's ripoff…er…takeoff on "The Onion."

Amuse-o-Matics from Amused.com (COMING SOON!)
Back in the day when Amused.com linked to the "Centre for the Easily Amused" and not some lousy advertisement for online game shows, the Amuse-o-Matics, a new twisted style of the popular Mad-Libs party games, was one of the most popular features on the website.

Dear God, Noooooo! with Danny & the Mouth
Back in the heyday of Amused.com, Danny was asked the dubious task of looking for the worst sites on the World Wide Web. Sadly, the work drove him almost to the brink of insanity ... and that's when he developed a sarcastic, wise-cracking alter-ego known only as the Mouth. Together, they surfed the web for the "World Wide Worst" in web sites.

Danny & the Mouth were even featured in Celine Chamberlin's Internet Explorer column of the Oregon Statesman Journal.

The Other Side
Danny spent the first two years of his college days at the University of Texas at Austin doing one of three things: (1) trying to understand the cell replication process without chewing his own fingers off so he could get out of the final exam the following morning, (2) getting drunker at frat parties and keggers than one of the Kennedys at a Cleveland Indians game on nickel beer night and (3) writing about those experiences with this college life humor column for Amused.com.

News, Opinion and Information

Henderson Daily News
Danny started his professional career in journalism with this very well organized and well-written small town Texas newspaper as a staff reporter and weekly columnist.

Internet Off-Ramp
From the depths of the Entertainment page of the Daily Texan, the student newspaper of the University of Texas (Danny's alma mater), the Internet Off-Ramp featured the best, the worst and the weirdest websites that the Information Superhighway has to offer.

"Wrong Numbers" Feature for Austin American-Statesman
Danny printed his first major freelance story for the Austin American Statesman after meeting Alex Holdridge of American Stupidity Productions, an independent movie director in Austin who wrote, directed and sold his first comedy film, "Wrong Numbers," to a major motion picture studio for a nationwide release.

Rouze.com "Site of the Day"
Yes, it's true. Danny once wrote for Playboy. Well, he wrote this feature for Rouze.com, a male improvement website that was owned by Playboy Industries, so that still counts, right?

Film Reviews and Interesting Features for "The Daily Texan"
Believe it or not, there was a time when Danny actually gave slightly positive reviews to mainstream Hollywood films for "The Daily Texan", the widely circulated student newspaper for the University of Texas at Austin.

Games

Uproar.com
Danny's also worked as an online game show writer for Uproar.com, owned by Vivendi Universal, where he contributed trivia questions for games like "To Tell the Truth" and "Family Feud" and one-line zingers for "Match Game."
